| Sweden's Carin Koch carded two eagles and five birdies to take the lead on eight under par after three rounds in the Chrysler Open. Fellow Swede, Cleveland Launcher Hybrid Catrin Nilsmark, trails by three on five under, with defending champion Laura Davies tied one shot back on three under. 29-year-old Koch, golf course equipment who has never won in Europe, started the final round on one under, two behind overnight leader, Corinne Dibnah. It didn't take her long to take the lead however, after a birdie three on the first and an eagle three on the second rocketed her to the top of the leaderboard. "I had a nice start out there today, Honma BERES MG813 Fairway Wood and Honma BERES MG813 Driver especially when my sand wedge went in the hole for eagle at the second," the Swede explained. "Then I had a slump when I missed a couple of little putts in the middle of the round, but I came back and it felt nice." Bogeys on five and seven dropped the leader back to three under par, tied for the lead with Sophie Gustafson and winner of the last two Chryslers, Laura Davies. But it was Koch's back nine which set the tournament on fire, starting with another eagle on the eleventh, Honma Beres BP-1010 Putter followed by three more birdies at 12, 16 and 17, taking her to seven under for the round. | |
