Darren Clarke burst from the
golf course equipment pack to beat Michael Campbell in the last round of the
Taylormade burner superfast fairway wood Compass Group English Open title with a magnificent final round of 65. Campbell lipped his birdie putt on the last hole to force the playoff.

TaylorMade Burner SuperFast driver who was six shots behind going into the final day, fired no fewer than ten birdies, including four in succession from the 13th to finish a shot ahead of Michael Campbell and controversial author Mark James and became the first player since James in 1990 to defend the English Open.
Clarke started all guns blazing by holing a 15 foot birdie putt on the first.
